Create or ask someone to create a Facebook account, it’s free so why not use it. 

Facebook is the best source of getting information across. 

There is a downside, however. 

Entertainers and agents offering “special” deals will flood you. 

There are people claiming to be agents that have no identity, issue no contracts and conduct business on the basis of “Inbox me for gig” operating entirely on Facebook.

In short, under the Taxes Management Act 1970, if you are unable to prove that the person you paid the money to is the person they say they are, You Pay Their Tax!!

Advertise on the pavement, display Your Goods. 
Get a sandwich board and display on the pavement outside your venue. 

Get magnetic stickers for your car and those belonging to your staff. Bargains are there for the taking at  Vistaprint

Contact and get listed in every free directory that you can find. 

Type into a search engine, for example Pubs in Cardiff. There are loads. Get a free listing on every one of them. The same applies to Clubs in Cardiff, Restaurants in Cardiff etc…..

Enter your venue name and town into a search engine (we used Google for this trial) and see the results, you may be surprised.

When did you last update your details? 
Potential customers use this service everyday. 

If your venue is not featured or the details are wrong, you are losing potential business.

Make sure the right people see you.
To connect with young people, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube are three of many online resources. 

Adults can be reached via the library, local shops, supermarkets, the gym etc…… Older people can be reached again via libraries, church halls, local authority venues such as community centres, waiting rooms (doctors, dentists etc….)

Local Events
Advertise your venue at local events, create flyers, posters etc… Have a drink and,or a meal at our place after the show (or whatever the event). Contact event organisers, perhaps you can give them a discount.
